JUNEAU- U.S. Sen. Mark Begich says it's time to move on from the calls to repeal the federal health care law, fix problems within it and get on with the business of governing in Washington.
The federal government was partially shut down Tuesday, after the House and Senate failed to agree on a plan to continue funding government.
The Senate rejected House-passed proposals that included delays in implementing all or portions of the health care law.
Begich called the shutdown "totally unnecessary," and said he hoped calmer heads would prevail.
Sen. Lisa Murkowski and Rep. Don Young also expressed concern with the shutdown.
Young, who voted with the majority in the House, said hoped the Senate would negotiate "in good faith" instead of tabling the House's ideas on party lines.

Mark you just voted to retain your CONgressional exemption to obamacare along with all of the others your party. If obamacare isn't OK for the CONgress et. al. Mark why is it suitable for us average Americans? Mark is obamas poodle, if you like what obama has done then you like what Mark has done to America. For the love of God, and the LIBERTY of our children, Alaskans MUST remove this mere tool politician and replace him with an actual human being that loves America and Alaska more than their own selves. Mark must be removed for America and Alaska.

The poor in this country live like kings compared to some of the people in Africa. While we do a some that need help, we have more that need to help themselves!

Obamacare is a wealth redistribution bill designed to initiate higher levels of control on society. It has ZERO to do with getting anybody any kind of care, affordable or not. Since the Obama regime took office we can no longer work where we want, we can no longer live where we want, we can no longer worship what/who we want, we can no longer do what we want, we can no longer eat what we want, we can no longer say what we want, we can no longer watch what we want, we cannot even use the light bulbs or toilets we want and the obamacare mandate makes it so we can no longer get the care we want. All of this we are told by Mark Begich and the democratic elite are a part of our freedoms. I think they have confused the meaning with the word slavery. Defeat Mark Begich. Return America to greatness. He sold us out for millions in campaign dollars when he voted for obamacare.

Well Mark you need to start listening a little better or you can bet you won't have to worry about this after the next election as you won't be going back. We are tired of supporting all these loafers. There are people who need help and we are willing to help them but tired of you all wasting our money. Free cell phones for all? Is a cell phone really needed if you can't afford to pay for it yourself? Free everything for all? Who is going to pay for this? I wish I could find this magic money tree to get my share. I urge all the young people to NOT sign up, why should my kids be supporting other peoples bad choices?
