Last Frontier Honor Flight Returns

Veterans receive a warm welcome home after trip to Washington D.C.

 ANCHORAGE- There was a big welcome home for 25 World War II, Korean War, and Territorial Guard veterans who went on a five day trip to Washington D.C. and back, courtesy of the Last Frontier Honor Flight.

The Honor Flight Network has honored veterans with free flights to Washington D.C. to attend special ceremony awards, reunions, and reunions since its inaugural flight out of Ohio in 2005. Alaska joined the network in September of 2012 with its first Honor Flight out of Fairbanks.
