ASD Superintendent FinalistsThe Anchorage School Board as selected their finalists for Carol Comeau's superintendent position. After going through over 150 applicants, they have narrowed it down to 2: Steve Atwater, the current superintendent for the Kenai Penninsula Borough and Jim Browder, a former superintendent from Fort Meyers, Florida. Anchorage School Board President, Gretchen Guess said that both candidates stood out for their leadership skills and work experience. They're hoping for a new superintendent that is willing to invest a lot of time in the district and will hopefully stay in that position for at least 7 to 12 years. Both candidates will be spending some time with the district in January. The school board is hoping to make a decision around then.
