Anchorage, AK - Today, Providence donated 98 tourniquet kits to every Anchorage School District school and helped train them on how to stop the bleed.
For many in the Providence Children’s Hospital, this is a step to achieving their community goals.
Each backpack has 6 kits inside to go to every school. Providence is hoping this can literally – stop the bleed – should a student receive some sort of injury or trauma and help get them to the hospital for proper treatment.
Stop the Bleed is a national campaign aiming to help everyone know what to do in the event of a mass trauma event.
