Transportation Safety Administration Streamlines Fairbanks Travel.
Officials say enrolling in program will be a real time saver.
FAIRBANKS, Alaska – The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will showed off their new TSA Pre✓™ enrollment center in Fairbanks Thursday.
TSA Pre✓™ is an expedited screening program offered by TSA that allows pre-approved airline travelers to leave on their shoes, light outer wear and belt, keep their laptop in its case and their 3-1-1 compliant liquids/gels bag in a carry-on in
select screening lanes.
A dedicated TSA Pre✓™ lane has been available at Fairbanks
International Airport since February 2014.
Members of the public who are U.S. citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents can nowapply for TSA Pre✓™ in-person at the Fairbanks center.
An in-person visit is required so applicants can verify their identity, provide fingerprints and make available documentation to confirm citizenship or immigration status.
TSA Pre✓™ in Anchorage is in the University Center and in Fairbanks in the Washington Plaza.
