Anchorage Lifting Burn Ban for Now
The Anchorage Fire Department is rescinding its municipal-wide burn ban.
ANCHORAGE- The Anchorage Fire Department is rescinding its municipal-wide burn ban.
The department, in a release, said rain over the past day has helped lower the immediate fire danger. But the ban could be reinstated if warm, dry conditions return.
The burn ban was to be lifted Tuesday at 6 p.m.
With Independence Day on Thursday, the department also reminded residents that personal use fireworks are illegal in Anchorage at all times during the year.
