ANCHORAGE - An Anchorage man accused of stabbing someone over debt faces a judge for the first Monday. (10/29)
Mark Kalugin, 21, is charged with 1st degree assault for allegedly stabbing Rasean Daniels, 21, at the mobile home park at 9499 Brayton Drive. Officers say the victim claimed the suspect approached him in his girlfriends car, while wearing a mask, opened the car door demanding money. That's when a fight broke out and witnesses claim Kalugin stabbed Daniels. Authorities say a local hospital treated Daniels for multiple stab wounds to has back, but is expected to recover. A public defender has been appointed for Kalugin. Kalugin is due back in court Tuesday. (10/30) His bail is set at $25,000. |
