JUNEAU- Don't be alarmed if you see a lot of emergency vehicles near the Juneau International Airport on Saturday.
The airport is conducting a federally required drill involving a fake airplane crash.
The test will simulate the crash of an Alaska Airlines 737 south of airport, in the Mendenhall Wetlands.
Volunteer victims will get out of the plane via a fake fuselage. First responders will attempt to rescue them using an emergency access road. A small fire may also be part of the drill.
The airport will remain open during the exercise, and signs will alert people that there is a live drill in process.
