Police are still searching for missing Anchorage woman, Susan Geraci. The missing 45-year-old was last seen Friday, June 8.

Initially Geraci was thought to be missing after not showing up for work or calling in before her missed shift at the Ramada Inn on Wednesday, June 6.

"She was last seen at work by coworkers Tuesday at about 4 o'clock," said Anita Shell, APD Spokesperson. "Wednesday she failed to show up for work at both of her jobs she did not call in sick she just failed to show up."

Detectives say it's uncharacteristic of her to not show up to work at the Ramada Inn where she's a receptionist and her other job at the Lake Shore Motor Hotel.

A neighbor reported seeing Geraci get into her vehicle in the late morning hours  Wednesday, the day before her mobile home burned.

Nobody was inside the trailer at the time and nobody was hurt in the incident. In fact, some neighbors say they didn't even know the trailer had been occupied.

"I didn't know there was anybody in there living there I haven't seen anybody in there for like a month now," said Ally Lestenkof, a next door neighbor to Geraci.

Lestenkof called 911 the morning of June 6th, and says by the time she got up to see what all the commotion was about, she could already feel the heat from the trailer fire on her face.

"There was fire coming out of the house already and I was like oh my goodness," Lestenkof said. "We went to the porch and we opened the door and we could feel the heat on the porch and the people who were next door had to get out of their house."

Geraci was last seen returning her vehicle, an orange Hyundai accent to the credit union where she was behind in vehicle payments last Friday.

Although, not completely ruled out, according to police spokeswoman Anita Shell, foul play does not seem to be a contributing factor to the womans disappearance.

"And for the fire to start we don't know what the cause of the fire is it's undetermined at this point in time," Shell said.

If the public has any information regarding Geraci's whereabouts, please call police at 786-8900.
