Moderate Earthquake Strikes South of Unimak Island

The Alaska Earthquake Information Center says a moderate earthquake occurred near the Aleutian Islands, but there were no reports that it was felt or caused damage.

UNIMAK ISLAND- The Alaska Earthquake Information Center says a moderate earthquake occurred near the Aleutian Islands, but there were no reports that it was felt or caused damage.

The earthquake had a preliminary magnitude of 5.2. It struck 96 miles south of Unimak Island at a depth of 23 miles.
The National Weather Service said there was no tsunami danger.
