ANCHORAGE - Alaska State Troopers have released the names of two people who died in a three-vehicle crash on the Seward Highway near Summit Lake.
The dead were identified as 62-year-old James Campbell and 65-year-old Margaret Campbell of Anchor Point. Troopers spokeswoman Megan Peters says the Campbells were married. Troopers say the Campbells' Toyota pickup collided head on with a Chevrolet Blazer late Friday afternoon. Another vehicle rear-ended the Toyota. Troopers say the Campbells were not wearing seat belts and were ejected from the truck. The Blazer went into a ditch and responders extricated the driver, 47-year-old Richard Patterson of Sterling. He was taken to an Anchorage hospital. Three people in the third vehicle were not injured. |
