JUNEAU- Alaska's online public notice system has gotten an overhaul.
Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell says in a release that his hope is the new system will invite increased public participation in government decision-making. One of the lieutenant governor's duties is overseeing the state's online public notice system.
His office says the system has improved search capability, which will make it easier for users to find and share information. Users who log in will be able to save their searches and can be notified automatically of new notices that match saved searches.
