Samantha Koenig's father called of the search party for a short time today (2/6) because of the snow coverage and snow.
Former Police Chief Paul Honeman will kick off a safety briefing at Common Grounds on Tudor Road at 4:30 p.m. to help community members begin searching in the right direction. Anchorage Police sent out a press release: Detectives working the Samantha Koenig abduction case are requesting that anyone who may have been in the parking lot of the Alaska Club at 630 East Tudor Road, between the hours of 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM on 2-1-12 contact them. Anyone passing by on Tudor Road or frequenting neighboring businesses that may have seen anything suspicious in that time frame should contact detectives as well. The contact number is 786-2460. Further updates will be forth coming as more information is released by detectives. Police believe the barista missing from the Common Grounds coffee stand was abducted. 18 year-old Samantha Koenig was last seen Wednesday at 8 pm. She is 5'4", 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone who might have seen her walking with a male near the area of Old Seward and Tudor on Wednesday night should call Anchorage Police immediately at 786-8900 Anyone who may have seen her and a male walking in the area of Old Seward Highway and Tudor Road on Wednesday night between 8:00 and 8:30 should call Anchorage Police Department immediately at 786-8900.
