5 Ketchikan Residents Caught in Sex-Offender Sweep

Five Ketchikan residents were arrested for not complying with the sex-offender registry.

JUNEAU- Five Ketchikan residents were arrested for not complying with the sex-offender registry.
Local, state and federal law enforcement conducted a five-day sweep of southeast Alaska to check the compliance of convicted sex offenders.
Authorities said there are 193 registered sex offenders in Juneau, Douglas, Ketchikan and Sitka. Officials said 132 of them are complying with the law.
Among the others, seven people in Juneau and four in Sitka were brought into compliance without being arrested. Another six will be sought on warrants for non-compliance.
Four people were found in other states, and five others believed to have left Alaska will be investigated.

The publioc deserves names of the convicted. We are not protected without them.
