ATV Crash Seriously Injures Kodiak Boy

A 13-year-old Kodiak boy was seriously injured in an all-terrain vehicle crash.

KODIAK- A 13-year-old Kodiak boy was seriously injured in an all-terrain vehicle crash.
The boy, whose name was not released, was riding late Saturday morning in Chiniak.
He was wearing a helmet but was hurt when the ATV flipped.
A Kodiak Fire Department ambulance drove to the scene but responders decided the boy's injuries needed faster attention.
A Coast Guard helicopter flew the boy to Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center and he was then transported to an Anchorage hospital.
Chiniak is an unincorporated community of 44 about 45 miles southeast of the city of Kodiak. It's the easternmost point on Kodiak Island.
