KODIAK- The finishing touches are being put on the new building for the Afognak Native Corp. in Kodiak.

Only minor details remain before the building is 100 percent complete, including hanging artwork and setting up a conference table.
Since 1995, the native corporation's Kodiak office was in the building that also houses the Alutiiq Museum. The corporation has headquarters in Anchorage.
The new 10,000-square-foot building is on Near Island. It's intended mainly for shareholder services, along with space for 15 offices and a conference room for monthly board of directors meetings.
It hasn't been determined if there will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Officials say if there will be one, it will likely be this summer once landscaping is complete.
