ANCHORAGE- The Coast Guard says is no longer searching for a 36-year-old Cordova man last seen swimming to shore from an overturned boat.

Alaska State Troopers say Frank Fonzi and 28-year-old Matthew Ward on Saturday night were at a cabin in eastern Prince William Sound in the Deep Bay area.

They decided to fish in a 5-foot, flat-bottom boat, which capsized 50 yards from shore.

The men were not wearing life jackets.

Ward was able to swim to shore. He last saw Fonzi about 40 yards from shore.

The Coast Guard searched with helicopters Saturday night and Sunday.

Troopers will search beaches at low tide for Fonzi.
