Crash Injures Wasilla Man

A Wasilla man was seriously injured in an early morning weekend crash.

ANCHORAGE- A Wasilla man was seriously injured in an early morning weekend crash.

Alaska State Troopers say 52-year-old Francis Henry Barton suffered a broken arm and other injuries early Sunday morning in the crash on Sunset Avenue near Cormorant Drive in Wasilla.
Troopers took the call just after 2:30 a.m.
Trooper say Barton was driving a sport utility vehicle and didn't negotiate a turn. The SUV slid off the road and rolled.
The SUV was demolished.
Barton was unconscious when troopers and medics arrived. He was taken to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center.
Troopers say alcohol and controlled substances may have been factors in the crash.
