Fire Destroys Anchorage 4-Unit Apartment Building

The Anchorage Fire Department says a four-unit apartment complex is a total loss after a Monday fire.

ANCHORAGE- The Anchorage Fire Department says a four-unit apartment complex is a total loss after a Monday fire.


The department in a release says the building in East Anchorage was three-fourths engulfed when crews arrived. In all, 22 units responded, and firefighters worked to keep the fire from spreading to neighboring buildings..


The cause of the fire is under investigation. There were no injuries or fatalities.


The four families living in the complex are receiving assistance from the Red Cross.
