ANCHORAGE- A 53-year-old Homer man was found dead in in an all-terrain vehicle crash.

Alaska State Troopers say a searcher late Wednesday found Ray Garrity on a trail near Mile 18 East End Road after Garrity did not return home from a ride.

The ATV had flipped.

Troopers say Kachemak Emergency Services determined that Garrity had died at the scene. An autopsy is schedule to determine cause of death.

Garrity was a carpenter but was known in Fairbanks, Homer and other Alaska venues as a musician. He made up half of the band Ray-Jen Cajun.

His sister, Liz Boario, reports that Garrity had worked in the Aleutian Islands for about a year building a fish processing plant.
