ANCHORAGE- All kinds of Alaskan canines were intertwined with an array of chrome-covered Harleys Saturday.

The 5th Annual Hogs & Dogs event served up pancakes to raise funds for Alaskan Animal Rescue Friends, a local group that helps with rescue, adoption, education, and training.

Some of the Harleys were moved to the side to let the dogs socialize and fit in more than a dozen vendors to pamper the pooches.

There were free pictures for pets and owners.

The funds raised will go to help dogs and other pets that are take in's, says Dia Matteson, owner of Alaska's House of Harley.

"Yeah, they rescue animals here in Alaska, not just dogs, so they'll help with pretty much any breed of animal like birds cats, dogs, fish, whatever. They'll help take care of them and find a home for them."

Matteson invites any Alaskan non-profit to talk to them about setting up a fundraiser.
