KODIAK- The Kodiak Public Library is offering up some free books you don't have to return.

The library is in the process of moving to a new building. The staff doesn't want to move everything, so the books that don't make the cut for the new building are being offered to the public.

The discarded books will be available at the current building until Thursday, when the library will close for about two months.

That also might be the time to check out "War and Peace," or any other long novel. Books checked out before Thursday don't have to be returned until December, when the new library opens.
