KENAI- Scofflaw library patrons have stolen more than $9,500 in materials from the Kenai Community Library over the last three years.

Stolen material is associated with 122 library accounts.
Kenai users make up the bulk of this, with missing materials totaling more than $5,700. A good chunk of the rest is associated with user accounts in other Kenai Peninsula communities.
However, stolen materials also are associated with two Anchorage accounts, one in Palmer and another in Montrose, Colo.
The city may contact a debt collector, but hasn't yet taken that step.
