SITKA- There are no new developments after a Sitka woman disappeared more than a year ago.

Lael Grant's family is still hopeful that new information will turn up that leads to answers about what happened.

The Sitka native was 33 years old when she went missing.

She was last seen by her family on Oct. 14, 2013, and others reported seeing her early the next morning. A few days later her car was spotted on the Nelson Logging Road.

Sitka Mountain Rescue, Sitka police, family and other volunteers searched several areas of town extensively over the following weeks, without finding any solid clues about Grant's whereabouts.

Police consider it an active case.
