ANCHORAGE- A typed note led to the discovery of a severely beaten teenager in a vacant Anchorage house and police are trying to find out who wrote it.
Police hope whoever typed the note will come forward and reveal more details on the case.
The typed note Monday night was slipped under the door of University of Alaska Anchorage police, who summoned Anchorage police.
Officers found the 18-year-old man held captive at an abandoned home in the 800 block of Barrow Street.
Police spokeswoman Jennifer Castro says the note may have saved the life of the man, whose identity has not been confirmed.
The man remained in critical condition Wednesday.
