ANCHORAGE- More than 125 churches are coming together for a 5 month long community service campaign in Anchorage.

"Love Alaska" is part of a national campaign that focuses on bringing communities together.

The festival has to be invited to each community it serves, at which point organizers and volunteers narrow down specific areas in need of improvement projects. The mission is to inspire hundreds to make sustainable changes.

Events in Anchorage and the Mat-Su begin with the official kick-off on January 24, and will end with a two day festival this summer.

You can find more information on how to get involved by clicking the Season of Service link.
