Sitka Will Use Outside Firm for Super Search

The Sitka School Board will use an outside agency to seek applicants for the district's superintendent position.

SITKA- The Sitka School Board will use an outside agency to seek applicants for the district's superintendent position.
The board voted Monday night to contract with the Alaska Association of Schools Boards to conduct the search.
The board also decided to not give any current district employees a first chance at the job.
Superintendent Steve Bradshaw announced last month he would resign at the end of the school year next spring.
