The Small Business Administration announcing Wednesday that they will be stepping up to offer Alaskan residents and business owners affected by September storm some low interest assistance.
 

The SBA deciding on their own authority to dispense the loans after FEMA denied the State of Alaska's request for help.
 

The declaration makes SBA assistance available to the boroughs of Denali, Kenai Peninsula, Kodiak Island, Lake and Peninsula and the Mat-Su area.
 

 Assistance is also available to the Regional Education Attendance areas of Chugach, Copper River, Delta Greely,the Iditarod area and the Municipality of     Anchorage.
 

The types of loans available include; home disaster loans,business physical disaster loans as well as economic injury disaster loans.
 

There are some credit history requirements that need to be met and applicants must show an ability to repay the loans.
