ANCHORAGE- An Anchorage utility has opened a public comment period for an updated master plan addressing the next two decades. The Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility is taking public comments through Feb. 19. The master plan addresses operations as the utility shifts from building infrastructure to maintaining it. AWWU's coverage area includes 85 percent of Anchorage residents as well as communities as far south as Girdwood and as far north as Eklutna.
