Wasilla family puts child in danger after driving while under the influence

 WASILLA -- 27-year-old Mallory Dahl was operating a vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance. 

When pulled over at mile 49 of the Parks Highway, Alaska State Troopers found that one of her passangers was her 6-year-old son.

Mallory called 59-year old Yvonne Dahl to pick the child up, but when she arrived she, too, was arrested for DUI.

Reports say that Mallory was also in posession of methamphetamine and the 20-year old passanger was in possession of marijuana.

"We don't want you to get behind the wheel," Said Troopers Spokesperson Megan Peters. "We want you to be mindfull of your own safety and everyone elses safety."
 
Fortunately no lives were taken.
 
Megan adds, " a lot of times those celebrataions include alcohol we cant encourage them
enough to always have a plan to get home safe."
 
The child was released to OCS.
 
Mallory was held on $4000 bail for endangering the welfare of a minor and Yvonne Dahl was heled at $500 bail at the Mat Su Pre Trial Facility.
 
The 2- year-old is to apprear at court was relased at the scene.
