Crowley Maritime Buys Juneau's Taku Oil

A longtime Juneau fuel company has been sold.

JUNEAU- A longtime Juneau fuel company has been sold.
Crowley Maritime Corp. on Tuesday completed paperwork to buy Taku Oil Sales Inc.
Taku Oil has been owned by the Jacobsen family since 1953.
Taku Oil President Jeff Hansen married into the family and has been part of the company since 1987.
He says the company will retain the Taku Oil name and its 13 employees will continue operating the business.
Crowley is based in Florida. Vice President Bob Cox says Crowley operates 22 Alaska fuel terminals and plans few changes.
