JUNEAU- A dispatcher helped guide a man through delivering his own child at a Juneau hotel Wednesday morning.
The man called 911 at about 10:13 a.m., saying his wife was in labor at the Best Western hotel. The dispatcher provided instructions, and about five minutes later, the woman delivered a boy.
Police spokeswoman Erann Kalwara says Capital City Fire Rescue arrived as the baby was being delivered and found the mother and baby were healthy, doing well and did not have to be taken to the hospital.
