JUNEAU- A 24-year-old Juneau man has been indicted for a second time on counts of arson and felony criminal mischief in connection with 2012 fires at a Mendenhall Valley Park.
A grand jury Friday indicted Ryan M. Martin.
An initial indictment was dismissed in July when a judge determined that improper instruction had been given to the grand jury.
Prosecutors say Martin lit fires at Adair-Kennedy Memorial Park that caused $20,000 and $30,000 in damage to material and equipment used for replacement of artificial turf on the park's football field.
A jury in February convicted 19-year-old Ashley Rae Johnston of felony criminal mischief and misdemeanor criminal trespass in the case. She was acquitted of arson. A third defendant faces misdemeanor charges.
