JUNEAU- An interim chief executive officer has been named for Bartlett Regional Hospital in Juneau.

The board of directors named Jeff Egbert to the post. He's expected to serve until a permanent hire is made, sometime next summer.

He replaces Chris Harff, who left the post this month after serving just over a year in the post.

Egbert will start Oct. 28. Hospital officials say in a statement he has more than 23 years of experience in medical facilities and 15 as a CEO.

He was CEO for three hospitals in Arizona, where he worked for Vanguard Health Systems.

He also has been CEO of Tempe St. Luke's Hospital in Tempe, Ariz.; Eastmoreland Community Hospital in Portland, Ore., and Yoakum Community Hospital in Yoakum, Texas.
