JUNEAU- There will be a new vendor serving food at Juneau International Airport. The current Glacier Restaurant and Lounge will be renamed as Brandi's Airport Bar beginning Jan. 1. Brandi's owner Ethan Billings recently signed a short-term contract with the airport to run food and beverage services for up to four months. The opportunity came open when the previous bid winner terminated the contract on Dec. 4. ESS Support Services of Anchorage had held the contract since 1993, but it expires at the end of the year. Billings plans to open a coffee stand in the departure area that will also offer passengers grab-and-go sandwiches before boarding planes.
