Ketchikan to Charge for Airport Town-Side Parking

People parking at Ketchikan International Airport's town-side parking spaces will start paying $1 a day starting Jan. 1.

KETCHIKAN- People parking at Ketchikan International Airport's town-side parking spaces will start paying $1 a day starting Jan. 1.

Visitors will pay at an electronic station near the ferry ramp. They'll pay for the number of days they'll be gone.
It's now free to park on the Revillagigedo Island side as people travel to the airport on Gravina Island.
Airport manager Mike Carney says travelers will be able to call a phone number if they need to reserve additional time.
