JUNEAU, Alaska- About 70 teachers and supporters picketed before the Juneau School Board meeting Tuesday night.

Teachers say the district is not bargaining in good faith. The collective bargaining process has been under way for nearly a year.
Middle school math teacher Bobby Jones says the intent of the pickets was to put a face on those being affected by the drawn-out negotiations.
During public comments at the meeting, another instructor, James White, told board member they need to find better ways to reward and retain quality teachers.
He says his pride in the district is no longer enough to keep him in a job that doesn't appear to be valued by the district.
