JUNEAU- A 37-foot commercial tour boat carrying whale-watchers ran aground northwest of Juneau.

No injuries were reported in the incident Monday night.
The Islander was carrying eight customers when it lost power.
Alaska Galore Tours owner Louis Juergens says strong winds pushed the vessel onto the north shore of Shelter Island.
Juergens says good Samaritan vessels helped escort passengers off the Islander and onto the beach.
Coast Guard spokesman Petty Officer Grant DeVuyst says the agency found no evidence of spilled oil at the site.
Juergens says the boat sustained only superficial damage and its engine has been repaired.
