This morning, Wasilla Police shot a palmer man who fled the scene of a domestic disturbance in Palmer.

Alaska State Troopers alerted law enforcement agencies in the area and Wasilla Police responded.

The suspect led police in a short traffic pursuit around the MTA sports center on the Palmer-Wasilla highway.

The suspect's vehicle went off the road and when he exited the vehicle with a firearm, Wasilla police officers shot the man. The names of the officers involved in the shooting will be held for 72 hours, according to department policy.
