Scotty Gomez Traded

Alaskan hockey legend Scott Gomez was traded yesterday. The former New York Ranger Center is headed to to the Montreal Canadiens. However, Gomez was not alone as foreward Tom Pyatt and defenseman Mike Busto were also traded to the canadiens in exchange for foreward Chris Higgins and defensemen Ryan McDonagh and Pavel valentenko. The Rangers have been trying to trade Gomez since their season ended. The 29 year old Alaskan whose career high point total was 84 in 2005-06 with the New Jersey Devils dropped to 58 points this past season while he played 77 games, earning $8 million. Gomez has 5 years and $33.5 million left in his contract.
