The Alaska Aces blanked the Stockton Thunder 3-0, in game 1 of a 3 game series at the Sully.  With reigning ECHL Goalie of the Year Gerald Coleman called up to the AHL, Adam Courchaine stepped up and played lights out between the pipes.  Courchaine turned away 29 shots to earn his second shutout of the season.  Despite captain Brian Swanson's early exit via hard hit, a different player scored in each of the 3 periods.

The Alaska Aces have a season best 7 game win streak skating into tonight's game with the Thunder, as well as a league best record of 27-5-5.  The puck drops at 7:15, Sullivan Arena.
