The race is on! Runners hoping to race in the 2012 Mount Marathon can officially send in their applications.
The Seward Chamber of Commerce announced today that the applications for the 85th annual Mount Marathon race are currently being accepted.
The race began as a casual bet of who could run up and down the 3,022 ft. mountain in Seward and eventually became an organized race and a well loved 4th of July tradition.
Completed applications must be submitted by midnight on March 31, 2012 and can be filled out online at seward.com.
