The number of gonorrhea infections are down in the state. According to the state section of epidemiology there has been a 23 percent decrease in the number of infections reported in the first three quarters of this year compared to last.
There were 770 confirmed cases of gonorrhea in the first three quarters this year compared to just over a 1,000 in 2010.
