Anchorage Film Festival This Weekend

After a three year hiatus due to the pandemic, Anchorage international film festival is back for its 22nd year! We found the team making final preparations this afternoon. Over the next week, 74 films will be screened bear tooth Theatrepub, E-street theatre and the Anchorage museum.

Among them are a narrative, a documentary and some shorts — all made right here in Alaska.

“We are we are so excited because tonight is the opening night of the Anchorage International Film festival, the 22nd edition. And this will be the first time in three years that we are fully back live. That means everything is going to be in the theaters. We’re going to gather the communities, everybody. Everybody’s going to come into the cinemas and enjoy the time together.” – Ida Theresa Myklebost

The film festival opened tonight and runs through next Saturday the 10th. You can find ticket info online at AnchorageFilmFestival.org.
