Congratulations to Officer Kirt Allen. He’s just retired from Fairbanks police department after 25 years in law enforcement. 23 of those years were with FPD. Upon his retirement, Officer Allen was awarded the honorable service medal and the meritorious service medal.

Every year the coast guard selects a half-dozen employees as the civilian and non-appropriated fund employees of the year. This year, Kodiak had two employees selected. So congratulations to Ms. Mary Jean Silva, GS employee of the year and Tobi Turpen, junior NAF employee of the year.

Welcome back ANC police and fire recruits from Alet 2202! They not only graduated after a demanding 17-weeks at the training academy, but they won several awards. Recruit Turney was awarded the valedictorian and control tactics awards. Recruit Perrins was awarded firearms, emergency vehicle operator course, and honor graduate awards.

Congratulations Officer Duaime! Wasilla Police department announced that Officer Duaime is a recent graduate from Alet 2202 Officer Duaime moved to Alaska from California when her Air Force enlistment lead her to JBER. She has transitioned to the reserves, where she continues to serve.

​​We want to say welcome back to the Arctic Warriors from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson who have just recently returned after being deployed to Lask Air Base in Poland in support of the NATO air shielding mission.

Congratulations to Pat Callahan and Jeff Trenery with the US Coast Guard Fire and Rescue on their recent promotions to assistant chief. These two have a long history of honorable service, first serving their countries in the Navy, and then working their way up through civil service.
