Latest Election Results

We begin with updated results for last week’s midterm election.

Let’s start off with Alaska’s US Senate race. While more votes have been counted, percentage-wise there’s not much of a change here. No one has hit that 50%benchmark.

As it stands, Kelly Tshibaka is still on top with a slim lead over incumbent Lisa Murkowski.

Second round votes will likely end up deciding this race.

Moving on to the race for US House. No winner yet here either. With this update, you can see Democrat Mary Peltola still has a pretty substantial round one lead over her opponents Sarah Palin, Nick Begich and Chris Bye. The seat that’s up for grabs was held by congressman Don Young, who passed away in March.

And now a quick look at the race for GovernorGovernor Mike Dunleavy appears to be heading for a second term after securing 50% of the vote last week, but with this update, we see his number dip just a hair. He had just over 52% last week, but this is still enough to beat democrat Les Gara, independent Bill Walker and republican Charlie Peirce for Alaska’s top job.

The results have also been updated for our State House and Senate races.
