APD Investigates Shooting On North Pine St.

Anchorage Police are investigating after a man was shot on Sunday night. Officers were called to the 500 block of north Pine Street a little after 9:30. One victim had been shot and was taken to a local hospital. Police did not release his condition, or any information on a suspect.

Anchorage Police say a woman was stabbed early Sunday morning. Police responded to the hospital where she was being treated for life-threatening injuries. Juneteenth events are also taking place over the weekend. In Anchorage, the citywide celebration is Saturday and Sunday at the Delaney park Strip. In Fairbanks, the Juneteenth Freedom Day family picnic is Saturday at Allridge park.

Alaska State Troopers Launch Website For Crime Reports

The Alaska State Troopers have launched a new online system to report crimes. This is meant for non-emergency incidents where the crime wasn’t witnessed, and there isn’t a known suspect. It includes crimes such as vandalism, theft, trespassing, or harassing phone calls. The website is DPS.Alaska.gov/crime report
