The Alaska Supreme Court will soon have a new leader. Peter Maassen will take over as chief justice in February. First appointed to the court in 2012 — Justice Maassen will replace current chief justice Daniel Winfree, who will retire in the new year.  

Man Charged With Murder

A man is now locked up in connection with a deadly shooting in Anchorage. Anthony Tinker is charged with murdering Brad Robert. Officers found the victim dead earlier the month, following reports of a shooting on Chugach way in Anchorage.
