North Pole PD Respond to Armed Robbery in Progress

On Wednesday the North Pole Police Department responded to an armed robbery in progress. Officers were advised that one subject was being held at gunpoint and another subject had been shot.

Officers arrived on scene and detained several individuals in the parking lot. 18 year old Adam Dane Selid was found with a gunshot wound to the abdomen and transported to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. According to the police report, Investigation revealed that Selid and 19 year old Dalen Davis, set up a time and place to meet and purchase firearms from an individual. During the meeting, Selid and Davis agreed to purchase the weapons, at which point Selid produced a handgun and threatened the seller. A struggle took place. During which, the seller retrieved a handgun he had on his person and fired one round, striking Selid. Davis arrested and booked at the Fairbanks Correctional Center on multiple charges. The seller has not been charged at this time. This case is still under investigation.
