Pink Rink at Dimond Center Mall for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The Anchorage Dimond Center Mall has Painted the Rink Pink with the American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Awareness this Month.

Dimond Center has partnered up with the American Cancer Society of Alaska for Breast Cancer Awareness Month by painting the Dimond Ice Chalet pink to raise funds and promote breast cancer early detection. “We are thrilled to work with the American Cancer Society to shine a light on this incredibly important topic,” said Logan Burt, Marketing Director at Dimond Center. “We wanted to do something big and bold that would make an impact on the community while raising awareness and funds all month long.” Starting October 8th and running the entire month, Pink the Rink will take place at the Dimond Ice Chalet. Admission for open skate is $6 per person. $1 from every admission will be donated directly to the American Cancer Society. Funds raised through this initiative will support the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer to invest in groundbreaking research; provide free, comprehensive information, support, and services to those touched by breast cancer; and help people take steps to reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it’s most treatable. “For the first time ever, female breast cancer has surpassed lung cancer as the most commonly diagnosed cancer worldwide.” said Angela Kapinos, Community Development Manager at the American Cancer Society. “Regular screenings are key to finding breast cancer early, and we are grateful for Dimond Center’s partnership in driving awareness about the importance of breast cancer screening and raising funds to provide support to those facing breast cancer in our state.” Skate at Dimond Center from October 8th through 31st , 2021 to support the American Cancer Society of Alaska with a portion of your entry fee.
