Project Angel Tree

Looking for a way to give back during the holiday season? You’ll want to talk to Anchorage Police.  APD has teamed up with the Anchorage School District’s child in transition program.

The goal? Give the ultimate Christmas to families who are homeless. You can stop by police headquarters to pick an angel off this beautiful tree. On each one is a Christmas wish from a child in need. Officers tell us this project is always a holiday highlight.

“And just to see their faces like you see that, you know, this is this is making their day. In addition to if we can help out the families, just take the stress off them during the holidays, then we’re all about just, you know, taking that opportunity.”

You can stop by the APD lobby to pick an angel on weekdays between 8am and 5pm. All angels and gifts are due back by Friday, December 16th.
